Is IPO risk free?

IPOs offer an opportunity to invest in a company at its early stages and potentially see significant returns in the future. However, investing in IPOs can be risky and volatile, and it is important to do proper research and understand the risks involved before investing.

What is the lot price of IPO?

The lot price of an IPO is the total cost of purchasing the minimum number of shares (lot size) that an investor can bid for in an IPO. It is calculated by multiplying the lot size (e.g., 100 shares) by the price per share (e.g., ₹120). For instance, if the lot size is 100 shares and the share price is ₹120, the lot price would be ₹12,000.

What is face value in IPO?

The face value in an IPO is the original nominal value of a share as decided by the company, such as ₹1, ₹10, etc. It is not the price at which the share is sold during the IPO or traded in the market but serves as a base value for accounting purposes and dividend calculations. For example, if a share’s face value is ₹10 and the IPO price is ₹100, the difference reflects premiums and market valuation.
